Peterborough, ON (June 18, 2012) - The Canadian Hearing Society (CHS) President and CEO Chris Kenopic will be this year's keynote speaker presenting CHS strategic plan for 2012 to 2015 at the CHS Annual Regional Meeting.
CHS Strategic Plan over the next three years aims to become a stronger, more responsive organization by:

- Reduce service gaps
- Increase public visibility of CHS
"Our focus is strong as we continue to provide exceptional services and programs for people who are culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened, and hard of hearing, "says Chris Kenopic CHS President and CEO. "
"It is also important that our community leaders understand our goals as an organization as we continue to strengthen partnerships within our community," says Maggie Doherty-Gilbert CHS Peterborough and York Regional Director.
In addition the Accessibility Awards will be present at the ARM. The Accessibility Award is presented to business and individuals who have made a commitment to ensuring accessibility for Deaf, deafened and hard of hearing in their community. This year's award recipients are Durham Deaf Accessibility Committee (DDAC) and Winners in Cobourg.
"Any time a business or individual makes accessibility a priority in our community we need to celebrate this and encourage others to follow in their footsteps, " says Maggie Doherty-Gilbert CHS Peterborough and York Regional Director.
