About the Course Levels
Level 1 (100-103)
ASL Level One covers units 1 – 12 of the Signing Naturally curriculum, including the following topics: Introducing Oneself, Exchanging Personal Information, Talking about Surroundings, Telling Where You Live, Talking about Your Family, Telling about Activities, Giving Directions, Describing Others, Making Requests, Talking about Family and Occupations, Attributing Qualities to Others, Talking about Routines.
The Signing Naturally ASL Level One workbook has 12 units of study; these have been split into three 30-hour long classes (ASL 101, 102 and 103):
ASL 101 (Units 1-3)
ASL 102 (Units 4-6)
ASL 103 (Units 7-12)
Level 2 (201-203)
ASL Level Two covers units 13 – 17, including topics: Locating Things around the House, Complaining, Making Suggestions and Requests, Exchanging Personal Information: Life Events, Describing and Identifying Things, and Talking about the Weekend.
The Signing Naturally ASL Level Two workbook has 5 units of study; these have been split into three 33-hour long classes:
ASL 201 (Units 13-14)
ASL 202 (Units 15-16)
ASL 203 (Units 17)
Level 3 (301-305)
The final and most advanced curriculum in the Signing Naturally series, Level 3 develops beyond Level One and Two with exciting new teaching tools that include an interactive set of easy-to-understand lesson plans, activities, and multimedia materials for use in the classroom.
Signing Naturally ASL Level Two covers units 18 – 25, including topics: Narrating Unforgettable Moments, Sharing Interesting Facts, Explaining Rules, Telling about Accidents, Talking about Money, Making Major Decisions and Discussing Health Conditions.
The units 8 have been split into three 36-hour long classes:
ASL 301 (Unit 18)
ASL 302 (Units 19-20)
ASL 303 (Units 21-22)
ASL 304 (Units 23-24)
ASL 305 (Unit 25)
