CONNECT Counselling
Sometimes you just need good advice. CONNECT is CHS's mental health counselling service. If you or a family member is Deaf, deafened or hard of hearing and concerned about mental health and illness, depression, relationship difficulties, abuse, family breakdown and addictions or substance abuse, our counsellors can provide you with support, education, advocacy and counselling. If you have a deaf or hard of hearing child or teen who needs support, we can help. Services are offered in a fully accessible and supportive environment, and are free and confidential. You won't be rushed through; we’ll be there as long as you need us.
Employment Services

Looking for a job? Trying to get the job accommodations you need? CHS employment consultants can meet with you and provide personalized employment counselling. Our consultants also work with employers to ensure workplace accessibility for deaf, deafened and hard of hearing employees.
Personal counselling and guidance for deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people looking for support and advocacy. If you are facing challenges with government services, immigration issues, or you need help overcoming an obstacle you're not sure how to get around, we can help. Our counsellors can also make referrals to other community services.
Hearing Care Counselling
Assisting seniors to stay connected.
Are you aged 55 or older and having trouble adapting to your hearing loss? Our counsellors provide home visits, education, and demonstrations and recommendations of communication devices. We can help you stay safely and independently at home, improve communication with family and friends and help you stay involved in your favourite activities.
