Audiology   

Have you noticed a change in your hearing?  Come and see one of our experienced audiologists for a complete hearing test, hearing aid evaluation, hearing aid check-up or fine-tuning. We see people of all ages, from infants to seniors.  The audiologist can also make referrals to other CHS services to assist you and your family in communicating effectively and living with hearing loss. 


Hearing Aid Program   

First time hearing aid wearer?  Need to get your old aids updated? The CHS Hearing Aid Program provides a variety of services to ensure your hearing aids work for you.  These include the custom fitting of your hearing aids and assessments to ensure they are working properly.  The dispenser will also show you how to use and maintain your hearing aids correctly and can help if repairs are needed. The Hearing Aid Program also fits and makes custom-made swim plugs and noise protection. 


Hearing Care Counselling Program   
Assisting seniors to stay connected. 

Are you aged 55 or older and having trouble adapting to your hearing loss?  Our counsellors provide home visits, education, and demonstrations and recommendations of communication devices.  We can help you stay safely and independently at home, improve communication with family and friends and help you stay involved in your favourite activities. 


Hearing Help Classes   

Don’t give up your favourite activities because of your hearing loss. Hearing Help Classes will teach you how to overcome the challenges that come with losing your hearing.  You will learn about your hearing loss, hearing aids, speechreading and coping strategies.  Meet other people with hearing loss and share common experiences.  Bring along your spouse or a friend so you can both benefit.

Speech-Language Pathology   
It's all about communication. 

Children and adults experiencing speech and language difficulties will benefit from the assessment and therapy services offered by our speech-language pathologists.  Goals are developed with you to create programs tailored to your needs.  Services are provided in English, sign-supported English and American Sign Language.
