Family Counselling

Aucune traduction disponible

Most families have problems and almost everyone can benefit from family counselling.  CONNECT offers a family counselling service for families with deaf, deafened or hard of hearing family members.  We have counsellors who can sit with you one on one, or with members of your family, to resolve your difficulties.

How Does It Work?

First, contact us and set up an appointment.  Your first appointment will be with an intake counsellor who will assess your individual needs and refer you to an appropriate counsellor.

Once you've seen the family counsellor, it's up to you and your family if you want to have family counselling sessions.  Even if your family members are unwilling you can still accomplish a lot, so it's worth seeking help.

How Do Family Counselling Sessions Work?

With family counselling sessions you and your family members sit in a room with a qualified counsellor who guides the conversation, ensuring everyone is comfortable and able to deal with the issues in a constructive and non-confrontational way.  The goal is not to take out your anger or frustrations on anyone, but to work together towards a solution, compromise or understanding.
