Accessibility Strategy Development

We understand that one size does not fit all. Your organization, business, or facility will have unique requirements for its accessibility strategy.  Through on-site reviews and consultations, including a technology assessment, our Accessibility Consultants will work with you in identifying your needs and developing an effective and attainable strategy to meet them.

Facility Assessments

Through on-site reviews of your business and the built environment from which you operate, we will provide you with a written report that captures where you are now, where you want to be and recommendations on how to get there, improving your services and building to ensure that you are welcoming to the culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened and hard of hearing members of your community.

Technology Assessments

Communication technology assessments help you to identify the current technology on the market and how it will assist your business in providing clear communication and enhancing your services.  Assistive Listening systems and communication products are available for auditoriums, counter/information areas and small or large meeting rooms.  Our consultants can assist you with assessing your current system(s) and provide recommendations on the most appropriate communication technology for your business.

Education and Training Workshops

In partnership with other disability organizations, we offer on-site awareness training workshops as professional development opportunities for your staff and management teams. Our facilitators provide training on:

•    anti-audism and anti-ableism and other related topics

Drawing from the expertise from over 17 programs and services we can customize our workshops to meet your unique needs. 

TTY/Textnet Training

Our comprehensive hands-on TTY/Textnet training will support you and your staff in effectively communicating with customers and clients who use TTY (teletypewriter, a.k.a. text telephone) technology. From features, to culture and etiquette, our training workshops offer everything you need to ensure all your customers and clients stay connected to your business.

Website Accessibility and American Sign Language (ASL) and la langue des signes québécoise (LSQ) Content Development

Our Website Accessibility and ASL/LSQ Content Development Services can assist you in ensuring that culturally Deaf people who use ASL or LSQ as their main language of communication have barrier-free access to information, communication and services from your place of business. From translation, through to filming and editing, we can work with you to improve accessibility to your Deaf customers and employees by developing ASL and LSQ content for your website, DVDs, on-line training, etc.
