POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist in the event administration and planning of the regional golf tournament and other events and administrative support.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Media Relations
- Assist with the development, implementation and distribution of marketing materials
- Assist with fundraising efforts
- Contact community members to encourage participation in events
- Liaise with potential donors and sponsors to acquire support
- Maintain database of information related to events
- Participate in committee meetings
- Other administrative duties as required such as front desk relief coverage, filing, faxing, and copying
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with general public
- Good organizational skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Interpersonal and presentation skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) or willingness to learn
- Demonstrated sensitivity to working in a culturally diverse environment, including awareness of culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened and hard of hearing communities
- Occasional travel required
