SENNHEISER Infrared Systems

Large area infrared systems offer high quality dependable audio with optional multi-channel operation. Listeners wear personal receivers equipped with headphones or a neckloop for those with telecoil equipped hearing aids, to listen to the speaker or audio source at their comfort level.

The transmitter plugs into the sound system or other audio sound source and transmits infrared light waves throughout the seating area. Infrared systems transmit in the area they are intended for and do not transmit through walls. Therefore, interference will not be present in multiple room installations such as courtrooms, classrooms, auditoriums or theatre venues. Also ideal for applications where confidentiality is required.
